Smart Tails Easi-Grip yellow handle range will give you the show ring finish in minutes with zero discomfort to your horse and safe for you to use too.
If you are looking for that smart professional "pulled" look or just want more definition and less bulk to the mane and tail, then choose from either Coarse, Medium, or Fine grades depending on the finish required. Use evenly down the sides of the tail; starting at the top and working down, blend into a tapered look towards the end of the dock. Doing 2 or 3 strokes down each side (it helps if the tail is a bit greasy) and leave the centre top hairs long. If you are thinning a full tail which hasn't been trimmed or pulled before do a little each day and then damp down and tail bandage for an hour or so. You should then have an idea of how much further work required before to achieve your desired finish. If you have a particularly thick tail, lift the top hairs and thin from underneath by combing down.
If you want a more natural finish with a "tidy up", chose either the Coarse or Medium grade. For a closer finish, use the Fine grade. Please note, the Medium may be required at the start if the tail is very thick before using the Fine grade.
The blades are replaceable and interchangeable as needed. Therefore only one rake is required and different grades can be purchased as necessary.
For manes, you can use the Smart Tails for thinning. Brush the mane over to the wrong side and then comb through as you would normally. Then brush back over. Smart Tails will not give a level finish, it will just thin the hair. For thick forelocks, comb through as if you are using a normal comb.
Caring for your Tail Rake
Remove excess grease with nail brush and soapy water. Dry and apply clipper oil to prevent rust.

Delivery to addresses outside of the UK may take up to 10 working days.
Deliveries outside of the EU maybe subject to import and custom taxes as well as any other local taxes. These will have to be paid before the parcel is released for delivery. Please contact your local customs office for advice on potential costs when importing goods.

You are entitled to return your item within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund or exchange. The item must be unused, clean and have all original packaging with labels attached.
Made to measure & bespoke items are non-refundable unless faulty.
To return an item for an exchange or refund please complete the returns slip included with your purchase. If a refund is requested, once the item is returned, a refund will be made to the card used to make the purchase. We will process your return and you will receive a refund within 7 days. Additional postage paid on a purchase for express delivery will not be refunded. If an exchange is preferred, and the new item costs less, the difference will be refunded to the original card which made the purchase. If the new item costs more, we will require payment before it can be dispatched.
