"novocontact" bits are designed to create an unique oval shape which widens the contact surface on the tongue while the rider keeps a steady contact. As the rider gives a rein aid the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface gets narrower, ensuring more precise and effective communication. "novocontact" bits improve the interaction between horse and rider for a better contact and acceptance of the bit.
Tests have shown that single jointed "novocontact" bits are highly recommended for horses that do not take the contact confidently. They also provide added benefit for horses with a sensitive mouth, since the rider is able to give precise but soft aids. Double jointed "novocontact" bits are also ideal to use on horses that occasionally tend to pull against the hand, but are too sensitive to be ridden with stronger bits.
This single jointed loose ring provides optimal utilisation of the limited space in the horse's mouth. As discussed above, the oval shape enlarges the contact surface on the tongue for a soft influence; designed for super sensitive horses that do not take the contact confidently.

SENSOGAN is developed by Sprenger based on scientific research. It is made from a distinctive composition of copper, manganese and zinc. With a reduced copper content the oxidation process is still maintained, however the extraordinary combination with manganese is what makes the difference. This combination results in a smoother and more regulated process of oxidation. Tests show a very positive influence on the horses satisfaction, motivation and willingness to perform.
All SENSOGAN Bits are marked with a black ring at the cheeks. For all Sprenger bits that are stamped with an arrow on one side of the mouthpiece; ensure the arrow is on the left hand side pointing forwards.
We will endeavour to dispatch all successful orders made before 2.30pm same working day. Orders received after 2.30pm will be dispatched next working day. Orders will be sent using a 48hr courier. Please allow 3-5 days for delivery and some orders may require a signature.

Deliveries outside of the EU maybe subject to import and custom taxes as well as any other local taxes. These will have to be paid before the parcel is released for delivery. Please contact your local customs office for advice on potential costs when importing goods.

You are entitled to return your item within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund or exchange. The item must be unused, clean and have all original packaging with labels attached.
Made to measure & bespoke items are non-refundable unless faulty.
To return an item for an exchange or refund please complete the returns slip included with your purchase. If a refund is requested, once the item is returned, a refund will be made to the card used to make the purchase. We will process your return and you will receive a refund within 7 days. Additional postage paid on a purchase for express delivery will not be refunded. If an exchange is preferred, and the new item costs less, the difference will be refunded to the original card which made the purchase. If the new item costs more, we will require payment before it can be dispatched.
